About the event
The AVIV Experience (AVE) is part of Luanna Alzuguir and Ana Carolina 'Baby' Vieira's mission to empower women by providing world class jiu jitsu instruction in a safe and welcoming environment.
It is an open invite to women from all over the world and from all skill levels to learn jiu jitsu (BJJ) from some of the best females in the sport, all while enjoying well deserved holidays in paradise. Our women’s only jiu jitsu retreat presents an exciting schedule of BJJ seminars led In person by Luanna Alzuguir and Ana Carolina ‘Baby’ Vieira.
The retreat welcomes all levels of experience, with adjustments made to cater to varying jiu jitsu levels, fitness, and ages. The main goal is to provide a safe, fun environment, where likeminded women can explore and develop their BJJ skills alongside two remarkable athletes. AVIVers are encouraged to explore new connections and friendships with other women in the jiu-jitsu community, and embrace an opportunity to grow individually and collectively in this sport we all love.
After two fabulous years (Puerto Morales, Mexico (2022), and Jamaica (2023)), we could not be more excited for this year’s AVE to be held in Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic.
Close your eyes and picture this: pristine white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, fresh breeze, sun-kissed skin, cocktails by the pool…and lots of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!

Calling all BJJ women from Punta Cana! If you’d like to attend the seminars, but do not require a hotel, this option is for you. The schedule is still being finalized, but based on our last editions, there is at least one seminar a day, with a second happening whenever there are no tours organized. Seminars are held in the mornings, and in the afternoons. **Please note that these tickets are available for Punta Cana residents only, and spots are limited. **This ticket is non-refundable.
